Each cabinet includes 12 battery modules (5.12 kWh each) for ~61.4 kWh total (55 kWh usable). Systems are scalable up to 10 racks (~600 kWh). With built-in EMS/BMS and CAN/RS485 communication, the GE-F60 supports flexible deployment across microgrids, solar farms, and backup systems. The Deye battery GE-F60 is a high-voltage, stackable battery system designed for scalable commercial and industrial energy storage. Each floor-mounted rack contains 12 CATL LFP battery modules (51.2 V, 100 Ah each), delivering ~61.4 kWh total (55 kWh usable). Up to 10 racks can be paralleled for ~600 kWh capacity, with multi-megawatt expansion possible.

The system features built-in BMS and EMS with CAN/RS485/Modbus support, enabling smart control and seamless integration with Deye hybrid inverters. Installation Guide – Deye GE-F60

Installation Environment & Foundation

Install the GE-F60 system in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from flammable, explosive, corrosive substances, and far from residential zones to reduce noise concerns. The ground must be level and compact. Raise the concrete foundation at least 300 mm above ground level to prevent flooding, with proper drainage suited to local geology.

The foundation should:

  • Support the cabinet weight and provide long-term stability.
  • Include pre-laid cable ducts for AC/DC routing.
  • Be clear of obstacles to allow smooth equipment placement and door opening.
  • Be surrounded by a maintenance platform for service access.

Transportation & Lifting

For short distances on flat terrain, use a forklift (≥1500 kg capacity) inserted through the fork slots under the unit. For lifting, use a 25-ton crane with a 38.5–40.5 m boom length under safe weather conditions.

Lifting precautions

  • Follow crane safety protocols.
  • Never stand under or within 500–1000 mm of the lift zone.
  • Ensure slings are rated for the load, evenly positioned, and properly secured.
  • Lift vertically and lower slowly. Avoid dragging or tilting the cabinet.

Fixing the Rack

Secure the GE-F60 cabinet using L-shaped angle steel brackets at the base:

  • Attach brackets with M10*30 bolts (30 N·m torque).
  • Fix them to the ground using M12*80 expansion bolts.
  • Drill with φ16.5–17 mm bits for optimal accuracy.

Ensure the cabinet is firmly anchored before proceeding with electrical work.

Electrical Connection

All power and communication wiring must be done when de-energized and follow the system’s wiring diagram. Key connections:

  • DC/AC power cables routed through pre-installed ducts.
  • Communication cables (CAN/RS485/Modbus) for EMS, BMS, and inverter sync.
  • Grounding cables connected from the cabinet to the grounding point.

Seal all cable entry points with fireproof materials to prevent rodent intrusion and ensure safety compliance.

System Activation

After installation:

  • Verify all connections.
  • Power on the main breaker and activate the BMS/EMS system.
  • If the system loses power unexpectedly, the black start feature allows autonomous restart without external grid input.

In on-grid mode, it can charge from solar or grid and discharge to perform peak shaving, load shifting, or to provide backup power during outages. It also supports completely off-grid operation – the integrated control system has a black start function to power up from zero and can run independently of the grid. This makes the GE-F60 effective for remote microgrids or backup systems, where it can store solar energy and supply critical loads when the grid is down.
