Installation Environment & Mounting Requirements
Installing your Deye Single Phase Hybrid Inverter correctly is crucial for ensuring safety, durability, and maximum efficiency. This hybrid inverter is built to perform reliably in a variety of settings, but it still requires thoughtful placement and proper mounting according to Deye’s guidelines.
Pre-installation Checklist
Before installing the Deye inverter, check that all required components are included in the box. Each unit comes with a mounting plate, expansion bolts, user manual, and the inverter itself. Carefully inspect for any signs of shipping damage. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not proceed and contact your solar supplier or distributor immediately.
Tip: Handling should be done by at least two people as the inverter is heavy and may pose lifting risk.
Installation Site Selection
To ensure safe and optimal operation, the Deye hybrid inverter must be installed in an appropriate environment. Below are the essential requirements:
- Mount on a vertical wall with solid structural integrity—preferably concrete or other non-combustible materials.
- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, rain, or snow. Although the unit is IP65 rated for outdoor use, overexposure to harsh elements can affect long-term performance.
- Keep the inverter away from highly flammable materials and explosive environments.
- Do not install in areas with direct cold airflow to prevent condensation inside the casing.
- Avoid proximity to antenna systems or television cables to reduce signal interference.
- The ambient air temperature should ideally be between –40°C and 60°C for safe and efficient operation.
- Ensure proper airflow around the inverter. Leave at least:
- 50 cm clearance on each side and above/below,
- 100 cm clearance in front of the unit.
- Install at eye level for easy access to the colorful LCD display and status LEDs.
- Altitude of the installation site should be below 2000 meters.
- Avoid installing in environments where humidity exceeds 95%.
These installation conditions apply to both indoor and outdoor applications of this single phase inverter, and are crucial for ensuring longevity and consistent operation across varied Australian climates.
Mounting the Deye Inverter
After selecting a suitable location, follow these steps for wall-mounting:
- Drill four holes into the wall using a drill bit size of 10 mm and a depth of 62–70 mm, aligned to the mounting bracket dimensions.
- Insert the expansion bolts provided, ensuring they fit tightly.
- Carefully lift and align the Deye hybrid inverter so that the mounting bracket slots into place securely.
- Tighten the screws to secure the unit firmly to the wall, making sure it cannot shift or tilt.
- Reconfirm all surrounding clearances to maintain ventilation and service access.
As a safety reminder, never install or uninstall any wiring while the hybrid inverter is powered. Also, ensure that the system is completely de-energized before connecting the battery or PV panels.
This mounting guide applies to both the 7.5 kW and 9 kW models. As a deye inverter, it is engineered to be installer-friendly and safe when used according to specification. Proper mounting and site preparation ensure your Deye hybrid inverter delivers high performance and long-lasting reliability—whether you’re building a new solar system or upgrading an existing one.
