Description
The Deye low voltage battery SE-G5.1 Pro-B is a modular 5.12kWh LiFePO4 energy storage module designed for residential and commercial energy storage applications. Each module provides a nominal voltage of 51.2V, 100Ah capacity and 5.12kWh of nominal and DC usable energy under Deye’s stated test conditions. Its operating voltage range is 43.2–57.6V, making it a dedicated low-voltage battery platform for compatible energy storage systems.
Built around cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate chemistry, the Deye 5.12kWh battery combines an intelligent BMS, natural cooling and modular expansion. A single installation can scale from one battery module to a much larger bank: the specification supports up to 64 packs in parallel for a maximum stated capacity of 327kWh, with up to 32 packs supported without external setup.
The module can be wall-mounted, floor-mounted or installed in a standard 19-inch rack with a cabinet depth of at least 600mm. At approximately 45kg and only 133mm high, the SE-G5.1 Pro-B provides a compact format for projects that need flexible storage capacity without moving to a completely different battery platform as energy requirements grow.

Main Benefits
For Homeowners
The modular structure allows homeowners to start with a Deye low voltage battery configuration appropriate for current energy requirements and expand storage capacity later. Each additional SE-G5.1 Pro-B contributes another 5.12kWh to the battery bank, avoiding the need to replace the entire storage platform when capacity requirements increase.
The LFP chemistry, intelligent BMS and rated cycle life of at least 6,000 cycles are also designed around long-term daily energy storage. Deye positions the series for improving solar self-consumption in residential applications.
For Solar Designers & Electrical Engineers
The SE-G5.1 Pro-B provides clearly defined electrical parameters for system design: 51.2V nominal voltage, 43.2–57.6V operating range, 100Ah capacity and defined 50A recommended, 100A maximum and 150A peak current levels.
CAN2.0 and RS485 interfaces provide communication options for integration into compatible systems, while modular parallel expansion gives designers flexibility when sizing storage for different project loads and required runtimes.
For Installers & EPC Contractors
Multiple mounting options make the Deye battery storage module adaptable to different installation layouts. It can be wall-mounted where floor area is limited, placed directly as a floor-mounted installation, or installed into a standard 19-inch rack.
For larger systems, Deye also highlights automatic battery networking, helping simplify management as multiple modules are introduced. Remote monitoring and firmware update capability can assist ongoing system servicing without changing the core battery hardware.
For Commercial Users
The same modular platform can scale far beyond a single 5.12kWh unit. Deye specifies up to 64 parallel modules and 327kWh maximum capacity, allowing the product to serve both smaller installations and significantly larger storage systems.
The brochure also shows typical rack-based configurations using between three and twelve SE modules with the illustrated 12kW and 15kW inverter solutions.
Installation
The supplied brochure does not provide detailed terminal torque, wall fastener, cable sizing or installation-clearance instructions, so those values should not be assumed. The following overview is limited to the installation information Deye provides for the Deye 5.12kWh battery in the supplied technical documentation.
1. Select the Installation Method
The SE-G5.1 Pro-B supports three mounting configurations:
- Wall-Mounted: Suitable where keeping the floor area clear is a priority.
- Floor-Mounted: Allows the battery to be positioned as a standalone module at floor level.
- Rack-Mounted: Designed for a standard 19-inch cabinet. Deye specifies that the cabinet must have a depth of at least 600mm.
Before installation, account for the module’s physical dimensions of 440 × 133 × 540mm and approximate weight of 45kg.
2. Check the Installation Environment
The enclosure is rated IP20, so the exact installation environment should be selected in accordance with that rating rather than treating the battery as an outdoor weatherproof enclosure.
For charging, Deye specifies 0°C to 55°C, or -20°C to 55°C with optional heating. The discharge operating range is -20°C to 55°C. Storage temperature is 0°C to 35°C, operating humidity is 5–95%, and the specified installation altitude is ≤2,000m.
3. Position & Secure the Battery
Install the module using the selected wall, floor or rack configuration. For rack installations, maintain the 19-inch cabinet requirement and minimum 600mm cabinet depth specified by Deye.
Because each module weighs approximately 45kg, appropriate handling should be planned before positioning the battery.
4. Complete Battery & Communication Connections
The Deye low voltage battery operates at 51.2V nominal voltage with an operating window of 43.2–57.6V. The product provides CAN2.0 and RS485 communication interfaces for system communication.
Where multiple modules are used, configure the battery bank according to the required project architecture. Deye specifies up to 32 packs in parallel without external setup and a maximum of 64 packs / 327kWh where the appropriate expansion arrangement is used.
5. Verify System Status
After commissioning, confirm correct operation using the module’s LED indicators. Five LEDs provide SOC information from 20% to 100%, while separate working, alarm and protection LEDs provide a quick visual check of battery status.
For exact wiring, parallel configuration, torque values and commissioning procedures, follow the installation manual supplied for the relevant inverter and battery configuration rather than applying generic battery installation values.
